Work begins at Hinxworth Church
We are excited to announce our latest project at the historic St. Nicholas Church in Hinxworth. This beautiful church, dating back to the 14th century, is in need of some much-needed repairs and upgrades to ensure it can continue to serve the community for many years to come.
Our team will be starting with the installation of scaffolding to include a temporary roof. This will ensure the safety of our workers and the public while we complete the necessary repairs.
The masonry on the tower is in need of extensive repairs, and we will be replacing the Belfry window with a brand new one made of Bath stone. We will also be taking down and rebuilding the parapet walls and performing lime mortar repairs.
We will also be replacing the existing single ply membrane roof with a new Stainless Steel roof along with extensive timber repairs to the roof structure. Additionally, new oak louvres will be installed on the belfry windows.
Lastly, we will be making repairs to the existing rainwater goods to ensure the integrity of the roof and the safety of the building.
We at LUX Construction Group LLP are honoured to have been chosen for this project and look forward to working on the restoration of this historic building. We will be sure to keep you updated on our progress of these works.
